Self-initiated study · Editorial collage

People becoming gardens.

sepia collage of a vintage-style woman in a floral dress, a classical face fragment and a bird.
Arrival · collage. Layout and live typography by BaBBled.

An imagined garden: a woman dressed in flowers, a classical face emerging from the paper, and a bird among the leaves. An image becomes an editorial sequence through scale, cropping and typography.

Two artworks, four editorial views. Arrival uses a full composition on desktop and a closer crop on mobile; Bloom is shown in full. Interior and Resolution are details of Arrival. BaBBled shaped the sequence, crops, layout and live typography.

Chapter 01

Arrival

A woman looks beyond the frame. Flowers replace the fabric of her dress; a second face emerges from the paper beside her.

full portrait of a vintage-style dancer with raised hand, both shoes, a coral and mauve floral skirt, side branches and a paper-like butterfly.
Bloom · Second artwork, shown in full.

Chapter 02

Bloom

The second artwork opens into a dance. Coral and mauve flowers spread through the skirt, while a butterfly hovers beside the figure. The full portrait keeps her gesture and both feet in view.

Detail of the Arrival collage: a classical face fragment beside flowers and printed-looking paper.
Interior · Detail of the same Arrival artwork, a closer view of the original composition.

Chapter 03

Interior

A closer view of the same Arrival artwork. The classical face fragment brings a quieter expression into focus, framed by flowers and paper-like edges.

Detail of the Arrival collage: a small bird among flowers and botanical leaves.
Resolution · Detail of the same Arrival artwork, a closer view of the original composition.

Chapter 04

Resolution

Another detail from Arrival: a small bird stands among leaves and flowers. A change of scale gives this part of the image its own moment.

From experiment to practice

A story has a rhythm.

Pacing, hierarchy and image relationships shape how a story is read. The same considerations guide a book, an editorial feature or a set of campaign materials.
